The project
Symple automates property compliance for UK landlords, letting agents, and property managers — gas safety, EICR, EPC, PAT and related certificates — connecting them with a nationwide network of vetted engineers and tracking renewals. As a full-stack developer at Trezlabs I worked across the Laravel back end and the Vue front end.

My role
What I owned
- Built features end to end as tech lead at Trezlabs — the senior resource on the agency's most demanding frontend work — with reusable component libraries that sped delivery across projects.
- Worked on certificate ordering and compliance-tracking flows.
- Worked on engineer/provider matching and scheduling.
- Built supporting tools and pages such as the compliance checker and time-savings calculator.

Compliance rules that must stay correct
Each certificate type (gas, electrical, energy) carries its own validity period and legal requirements; modelling them so renewals and reminders fire on time is the core of the product.
Matching jobs to a national engineer network
Connecting each job to an available, qualified engineer across the country means the data model and scheduling logic have to reason about coverage, certification, and availability.
